Thank you to everyone who visited our MacMillan Coffee Morning, today. We raised over £300 to support MacMillan Nurses. Special thanks to the PTA members who prepared the Parish Centre, and served customers, throughout the day. Also, thank you to all parents, who provided cakes to sell. Finally, thanks to staff, who prepared lovely displays of pupils’ work.
However, it was the volunteers, from Years 5 and 6, whose eagerness and commitment, sparked the most interesting idea. They enjoyed serving and helping so much that they wondered whether they could do it every week. Would our parents support a weekly cafe, run by pupils? Something to think about! It would certainly provide some exciting learning opportunities!

It is fantastic that pupils are showing initiative and that you always encourage their ideas. I'd love to see a monthly pop up shop or cafe run by students. To run a weekly cafe would most likely put parents under pressure to contribute and I know that where most can and will, others may be left feeling the pinch of sending their child/children in with contributions.
