Brilliant news from our school cricket team - they will be representing Conwy county in the North Wales finals. They played in a tournament in Llandudno and ended up as winners by winning all their matches. The team is made up of children from Years 3, 5 and 6. Their reward for winning was a nerve jangling play-off against Llandrillo Yn Rhos at Colwyn Bay Cricket Club. The winning team would be county champions and go through to the North Wales finals. The play-off was watched by a big crowd of supporters in glorious cricket weather. Llandrillo batted first and tight bowling and fielding saw them restricted to 39 runs. Our boys batted very steadily against some talented bowlers and skipper Luke Russell was left punching the air as he guided his team to victory. Well done to all players.
