Today we delivered 15 large bags, full of donated food items to the church. Through the SVP and Arc, these donations will be distributed to those families, in our community, who are most in need. For the children this is a wonderful, real world example of our faith in action.
If your family (or anyone close to you) needs this kind of support, please speak to Mr Wilkinson or Mrs Pritchard. Our community continues to ‘Grow in Love’. On Friday 28th September our school celebrated Dahlicious Day to raise money for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Charity. Pupils (and staff?) will be dressed as characters from Dahl's books or wore yellow (his favourite colour). There was a lunchtime cake stall run by pupils in Year 3, with all proceeds going towards the same charity. . This included learning that we use all our senses when we eat, learning where our food comes from and creating their very own healthy meal of cous cous and a fruit salad. At the end of the day, they enjoyed a performance about the importance of healthy eating by the Gregory Brothers. All the children and staff had a wonderful day! |
