On Tuesday 27th November, St Joseph's pupils were joined by family and friends of Mrs Norris to celebrate the life of their teacher and friend.
They read and shared their memories of her inspiration, talents, lessons and musical skills. They sang and prayed. They smiled and cried. It was a wonderful tribute to a wonderful person.

The new Bishop of Wrexham Diocese, Bishop Peter, visited our school on Tuesday 20th November. He joined us for our assembly on the theme of 'Knitting together as a community'. From Reception to Year 6, pupils sang, read, spoke and showed their work, very sensibly.
Afterwards the Bishop introduced himself to the children and explained the significance of his clothing and crook (crozier). He asked lots of questions, which were answered impressively by all ages, and then he listened to their questions and thoughts. This was a lovely afternoon. Thank you to everybody who supported our efforts for Children in Need. Your red and yellow clothing raised £211.
Also, Year 6 girls raised £81 for Birmingham Children's Hospital, where one of them was treated as a very poorly child. Their cake stall sold out quickly and it was wonderful to see that those who were unable to buy cakes, donated their money anyway. Well done everybody. |
