Usually, at this time of year, we are celebrating our Year 6 leavers with a special mass and an assembly. It has not been possible, this year, which is very sad for them, their families and us. However, we have made a couple of videos to share with you and a special edition of the 'Grow in Love News'. We hope you enjoy them and that you will join us in wishing them all the best as they begin the next stage of their life journey.

We decided it was best that no gifts were sent to or from school, this year. We hoped kind words would be enough..... It has been another good week in school. It seems children (and staff) quite like teaching and learning in classes of six! Thank you to all children, parents and staff for working together to make it work.
It’s not too late to come and join us, if you haven’t been in already. Just give us a call or send a message. Finally, huge thanks to the PTA for their donation of £5,000 towards our ICT purchase. We will be receiving 30 new Chromebooks and 40 iPads early in Autumn Term. Please click below to view Issue 8 of the Childrens' Newsletter compiled by Miss Copp.
I am sure you are all eager to know what will be happening in September. We expect there to be an announcement from Kirsty Williams/Welsh Government this week.
Currently, we do not know……..
As soon as we know more, we will let you know. However, there a few details we CAN confirm.
Many thanks for your ongoing support. I hope we soon have some clarity about September and we will be able to return to normal education. Mr J Wilkinson This week, we welcomed back many pupils and it was fantastic to see smiles on the faces of pupils, parents and staff. The hard work of all staff to prepare a safe, happy environment, combined the the cooperation of parents and pupils meant that the week was problem-free.
In class (and at home) children worked on some basic skills, ‘Come and See’ and Wellbeing activities. In between the showers, we also spent time playing and exercising outdoors. Every morning we held assembly on Teams with each class once again able to say ‘We are here to Grow in Love together’. We also tried to connect school and home learning. (This is what WG are calling ‘blended learning’) Staff are becoming increasingly adept at using the available hardware and software to maximise learning provision in both settings. In some classes children at home joined in school story time, teachers taught groups at home on Teams and made short videos to teach essential skills. This sort of provision will be refined and developed over the coming weeks, possibly months. We will be trying hard to increase the quality and quantity of learning experiences particularly for those children unable to come to school. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to such a great week. It has been emotional. Hopefully, we will see you all (either in person or on the screen) next week.
