We approach the Easter holidays with mixed feelings as we come to terms with the retirement of Mrs Wynne. I mentioned in mass on Thursday that you can tell that a teacher is special, when the staff and children are in tears at the thought of them leaving. This was certainly true for Mrs Wynne who has helped to change lives in St Joseph’s for the last seventeen years. Her professionalism, personality, unstinting support and dedication to individual pupil needs are exceptional. She will be impossible to replace. At the same time, we are all happy that Mrs Wynne will be able to enjoy a long and active retirement. I’m sure she will find new and exciting outlets for her energy and enthusiasm. Wherever retirement takes her, they’d better be ready to be organised and not be tempted to borrow her stapler!
Thank you, Judith. Thank you, Mrs Wynne. You helped each and every one of us to ‘Grow in Love’. On behalf of the staff, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank parents, families and the wider parish community for all your support and to wish you a happy Easter.
