Latest video messages can be found here There is a two step booking system for childcare..... Step 1 - Email school on a Friday to indicate which days may be needed the following week Step 2 - Each day (before 3pm) click the link below and complete the form to confirm any bookings https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=Ug4_TzS3ZEGUCRtgHRR5k8DbT8gTgFFHuN0CvMGCCmJUN0dSTzBSMUIxUzZCVkg0VkFZRzNZMUlGUC4u If numbers remain low, we may work with local schools to provide shared childcare provision on one site. We will keep all affected families informed. Currently, applications for childcare are being managed centrally by Conwy. Prior to accessing our childcare, parents/guardians must complete the Conwy Application Form, below ...... https://www.conwy.gov.uk/en/Ext/Edu-Covid/Education-COVID-Key-Form.aspx Also, parents should also look at this Welsh Government information before accessing the service. https://gov.wales/5-things-you-need-know-sending-your-children-school-or-childcare Playgroup will also be available for children of key workers who have no other option for childcare. For these children, we will be able to offer care from 8.55am to 3.15pm. Please contact school if you require this service. Pupils entitled to Free School Meals can be provided with a packed lunch to be collected from school. Please contact school, if you wish to receive this service. We are told that those families entitled to free school meals will have direct payments made to their accounts to save them having to collect food. We will contact families when this is available. We have been warned that there are numerous SCAMS taking advantage of the confusion over meals and asking for bank details. Conwy/school will NOT ask for bank details via message or email. Please do not be caught out. Further information, on what is currently happening with Education in Wales, can be found by following the link below. We are told that this page will be regularly updated. https://gov.wales/education-coronavirus We will continue to keep you informed of any information relating to school and CoVID 19 on this website, twitter and via email. We have closed down all areas of the building which are not required for childcare provision. Enhanced cleaning regimes will continue with particular focus on high contact areas. Only a minimum number of essential workers are entering the school buildings. We have revised access arrangements for pupils and have contact all affected parents directly. We will attempt to operate strict social-distancing and appropriate hand-washing procedures. ‘Home learning’ packs and an explanatory letter (via email) have been sent out for use while school is closed. (Please arrange for someone to collect your child’s pack if you are currently self-isolating) We will be developing and refining our ‘home learning’ provision, over the coming weeks, and we appreciate your support and patience during this period of change. At the moment, we expect these packs to start being used after the originally scheduled Easter holidays. We have been informed today that GWE are hard at work, on behalf of Welsh Government, to develop a coherent and equitable distance learning strategy for all pupils in North Wales. As soon as we know more, we WILL let you know. We have started to make contact with families of children with Additional Learning Needs and those who are vulnerable. If you have concerns, please contact us by phone, email or, out of hours, on Twitter. We are trying very hard to provide you with information about an ever changing situation without causing further worry or confusion. Further information may be found in the letters section on this website. Thank you for your support and cooperation, at this difficult time. Mr J Wilkinson
