The final week of term has been extremely busy in our school. It began with a superb concert performed by the children in Years 1 and 2. (The DVD of 'Santa's on Strike' will be available for £4 from the school office when we return after the holidays) Next, on Tuesday evening, our annual Christmas Disco, arranged by our hardworking PTA, raised just short of £300 which will be spent on new playground equipment and kit for our sports teams. Wednesday was the busiest day of the weekl, as we enjoyed a visit from Father Christmas followed by a delicious Christmas Dinner served by our school cooks. In the afternoon, with full stomachs, we were able to relax and enjoy the Panto performed by Bitesize Theatre Company (paid for by the PTA). To complete our busy day, further funds were raised for school at our Annual Christmas Quiz which was, this year, hosted by Elizabeth and Anna Romachney. The night also featured a wonderful raffle supported by local businesses including: Morrisons, Bodelwyddan Farm Shop, Corner Cupboard and Sunseekers. Many thanks to our supporters and those who arranged the raffle. Thursday featured two visits to church. First, in the morning, all the children and staff celebrated our end of term mass. Then, in the evening, many returned for our annual carol service. It is always lovely to see the children dressed up and and joined by their families singing in anticipation of the joy of Christmas. On Friday, our celebrations will end with our Andrew Dovey Award Assembly. This will be a fitting conclusion to our school term and our preparations, in Advent, for the wonderful gift of Jesus at Christmas. Finally, as school closes for the Christmas Holidays, may we take this opportunity to encourage you to join our parish community in celebrating Christmas fully at one of the masses listed below, where all will be given a warm welcome.
