On Friday, thanks to our dedicated PTA members, the Parish Centre was open all day, providing tea, coffee and delicious cakes. In total, we raised £446 for MacMillan Cancer Care. Throughout the day, we were busy with parishioners, parents, grandparents, school staff and pupils generating a wonderful community buzz. As well as tasty refreshments, visitors were also impressed with the children’s work on display and it was great to see the whole community coming together in a busy Parish Centre. Many thanks to all those who visited or made cakes and a massive thank you to the PTA members who organised, promoted and hosted this event. The ‘icing on the cake’ was another well-attended Parent Sharing Assembly, where a packed hall came together to celebrate the work the children have been doing in their latest ‘Come and See’, Religious Education Topic. On display were confident readers, lovely singers, great actors and some super ICT work.
Days like this make us extremely proud to play a small part in the St Joseph’s school/parish community.
