Today, we celebrated a busy week’s learning with another packed Parent Sharing Assembly. Many family members joined us to see and hear about a wide range of activities and topics that have enthused and engaged our pupils.
We began with a performance of ‘Sing it in the Valleys’ from our choir. This was followed by a range of activities, on Santes Dwynwen, in response to ‘Stori Dwynwen’. Year 6 told the story in Welsh and showed pictures of Dwynwen. Year 2 added speech bubbles to the story in English and acted them out. Year 5 told the story in comic strip format. Year 3 described the characters, in English and Welsh. Year 1 showed love spoons which they had decorated. Finally, Reception class sang a Welsh song ‘Dwynwen yn y cwch’. Next, Year 4 showed their work modelling and describing the organs in the human body and then the HeartStart club showed how to respond on finding a person who is unconscious. Finally, we heard about the latest developments in Prayer Club, before celebrating our weekly award winners. Thank you to all who contributed and attended. We love Friday Sharing Assembly.
